    Photo metadata cleaner

Remove GPS, camera model and date from photos.

    How it works

    1. 1

      Add photos

Drop one or many photos from your phone or camera.

    2. 2

      See what they reveal

We show GPS location, camera model and shooting date found inside each file.

    3. 3

      Download clean copies

Metadata is removed; JPEG and PNG pixels are not touched at all.

    Questions and answers

    Are my photos uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so private photos never leave your device.

    Does cleaning reduce quality?

For JPEG and PNG, no: metadata blocks are cut out and the image data stays byte-for-byte identical. Other formats are re-encoded at high quality.

    What is removed?

EXIF (GPS, camera, date, thumbnail), XMP, IPTC, comments and PNG text chunks. The color profile and image rotation are kept.

    Do messengers remove metadata themselves?

Many do, but not all, and sending as a file usually keeps everything. Clean photos before sharing them anywhere you do not control.
